Tonight they focused on the situation 3 years ago when both Villa & Spurs were chasing 4th spot - Villa's wage bill was higher than Spurs. The difference is so stark in the status of each club now. Some fans were blaming Lerner for giving up on the club and now appears disinterested. Has Lerner been over to watch his club this season?

I'd say this is a pretty good and topical debate to be holding on this anti Villa station.

Voice in the wilderness here but I think WM and Paul Franks do a pretty good job overall covering the Villa and I for one, would miss their coverage if it was taken away.

Not when it's all they ever talk about.

It wouldn't be so bad if it just covered ourselves and Blues. That would leave room for enough debate. Why the hell we have to have Wolves and Albion on there all the time is beyond me. The station should cover those areas where the predominant local paper is the Birmingham Mail. If that means it needs changing to RadioB then so be it. Those presenters should also take a good sniff of Olbas Oil before the show. Most of them sound as if they have got a blockage in their noses.

Has it occurred to anyone that the reason why WM are on Villa's back and why a lot of our fans criticise is because the current position the club is in is frankly nowhere near good enough?!

Well if that's the case, why aren't WM jumping up and down on Neil Moxley's neck?

What's the relevance of Neil Moxley here?

Fair criticism is one thing; their coverage of Villa is neither fair nor impartial.

Listened to WM while sitting in traffic after the game today. It's not just us that's fed up with them - a Wolves fan came on saying 'how about a bit of positivity? We've won 7 and drawn 1 of our first 9 games and all you can do is go on about how poor we were in the first half of a game we won 2-0'. Maybe 'Franksy' is just a misery-arse

Franks is from the critical side of journalism, those who seek ''balance'' , which means if we are good, find fault, and if we are poor, find more fault. For Franks there must be a caveat, always a but, a what if or a note of caution. The appeal is to older fans,[like me] who recall the glory days of late 70s, early 80s, [like me], and for whom the old days/teams were always better. Reality is different. , and because we are no longer top 4, does not mean we don't try . Yes 4 years ago we were level with Spuds, and since then they have spent mega bucks, not available any more at VP. I listen to Franks, especially when away from home, but take his pessimism with large lumps of salt. , after all he is a journalist looking to provoke!!!
