Thirty pieces of silver a day.

And the club log pile to live in.

He's only 29, so still got a few years in the tank.
I've drawn a line under what happened with us.
If we're honest he's still a good player.
Good signing and will do well for them.

Would have snatched your hand off just 6 weeks ago but not now. The likes of Luiz and Marvelous are far more exciting signings and very different to the average or last pay day players we’ve been used to. Long may it continue!

Agree with this. We're looking forward, looking up.

Everton signing him is similar to them signing Barry. I'm sure Delph will do a job for them but it's not an ambitious move, it's a safe one. .

It's a good signing for Everton and in the current market a bargain.

I completely get why coming back to us would have been untenable, but you only have to read Cheltenham's summary of what happened to realise he wasn't all bad and clearly did have affection for the club.  Personally I was happy we got the £7m rather than him leaving on a free and to me the rest is all noise.

I'd have certainly have had him back.  Playing wise his experience would have been fantastic for us in our current situation.

Delph and Grealish had a good understanding and linked well together especially in the Liverpool semi, so he would have been a decent signing for us. Still I can understand there is bad feeling among some and I suppose it doesn't fit in with our new philosophy.

Didnt Delph sign a contract extension so that Villa would get some money for him?
I might be wrong :-\

I wonder if they're covering themselves in case Gana gets the move to PSG . All ways liked him would have had him back, when I think of some players who have let us and the club down, I can't see why we wouldn't want him back.

I think he has gone backwards as a footballer. He was awful in the last England game.

Missed that - pretty much summed up my feelings at the time. Not got the same animosity as some for him, and would gladly have had him back. He's a good player and IMO a decent chap. Think he'll do a good job at Everton.

That said, Douglas & (maybe) Marvellous are far more interesting/exciting signings.

Delph or McGinn?

Behave.

A player in the twilight of his career with the moral backbone of a jellyfish.

Or our very own modern day Braveheart with his best years ahead of him?

Why are people referring to George's Marvellous Medicine as  if we have already signed him? For all we know, he could be one of the red herrings that Dean mentioned in his Pravda interview yesterday.
