Do you genuinely believe its impossible for them to arrange closer fixtures for everyone across those three games?
The other issue of course is that they're not going to want fixtures too 'close' (Swansea - Cardiff, Newcastle - Sunderland, Villa - West Brom) happening on a weekday evening.

Why not?

In the Conference this season Gateshead have to play at Aldershot on a Tuesday night.

Lower league clubs often ask for long distance games to be played on a week night.

I blame the rest of the local teams for being so shit that there is hardly anyone to play in this division who are close.

Ha ha very good.

Is that so they can avoid cost of overnight stay?

No, it's so they're not full of guilt and self-loathing during the hours of thinking time on the way back after inflicting the effects of a heavy defeat on the hardy supporters who make the trip .

To mean that people don't have the opportunity to spend the day in the pub getting tanked up.

Both WBA games are on midweeks this season.

That said I'm miffed that Southampton and Cardiff are midweek aswell as those were the two aways I was planning for this season so they'll have to wait.

So, if we all come up to your's to see in the New Year we can walk off your hospitality with a stroll to the Stadium of Shite ...

Not moaning like that Moyes bloke but we were away at Swansea last NYD. This season we're away at Sunderland.
We were also away first and last games of the season last season...and we are again this season.
I know they've said it's random, but that's not that random is it?

They should un-random it a bit surely?

Tuesday 3rd December 2013 : Swansea City v Newcastle United - 353 miles each way, i.e 706 mile round trip and you think we've got it bad ! The beauty of being a Villa fan, no away journey more than 400 mjike round trip.

 depends where you live!
