Does sort of suggest that Sylla ain't starting the game on Saturday; bit of a surprise.

Based on pre-season form I'd have thought the midfield would be Westwood, Delph and KEA.

Very surprised Sylla is playing. I thought he'd start on Saturday. Not the most gifted footballer (though he did improve with confidence), but guaranteed to chase anything and everything. Does he need extra match fitness? Has he missed much of pre-season?

My fear about KEA is that he gives too many cheap free kicks away.

Well, Sylla has already been replaced by young Cowans. Presumably he has been carrying an injury.

My fear is every game I saw him in last season.

I know people on here have said he's looked good pre-season, but it is only pre-season.

He looked good last pre-season too, so I share CBBB's diffidence.

West Ham U21 2-0 Villa U21 - 60 mins: Much better from Villa at the start of the second half. Janoi Donacien gathered possession inside the West Ham half, continued his driving run before unleashing a shot which was pushed over. Josh Webb's glancing header from Daniel Johnson's corner went just wide .

West Ham U21 3-0 Villa U21 - GOAL - 90 mins: Sebastian Lletget forced home a shot from close range after Villa failed to clear George Moncur's corner.
