He will get experience and match fitness from this loan. Good move in my view. He will come back to us a far better and stronger player.

If young Carruthers can cut it with the battle hardened pros lower down the divisions he could have a career and a half at Villa Park.

Or conversely he could be just another Harry Forrester.

Forrester was outstanding at league one level last season so at this moment in time he wouldn't be a bad player for Samir to emulate.
