Did it have another name before Elbow Room ?

Perhaps, although it was called The Elbow Room in the '70's.
Thanks , I may be getting it mixed up with another historic Brum club - The Rum Runner.
Didn't the Aston Hippodrome stand in that area by The Bartons ? Famous old building shame it got Demo'd. The likes of Laurel & Hardy had played there.

I have a photo of The Bartons from around a century ago that shows the side wall of Aston Hippodrome advertising the forthcoming appearance of Will Hay.

My apologies to the Bartons crowd and especially Titus. I diverted to the Holte as there is no charge today and needed to secure my cash free cash ticket!

I told you that I look like Brad Pitt! Was nice seeing you all, Chelts, Stu, Concrete, Amfy, Jane, Frank and anyone else there whose name i've forgotten due to old age.

Plenty in. Fletch was outside as well.

Jane, Mike Jeffries, Amfy, cdbullyweefan and Stu who we found earlier and decided we wanted to keep are at the Flapper in town.

I am too old these days so am nearly back on the train.

Oh, and they have taken that old bugger Cooper with them as well.

Did anyone meet Titus Anthrax? He was going to get a taxi from the Hyatt and drink, obviously, in the snobs bar.

It was good to welcome Concrete B, Stu and PWS to the Barton's and to meet up with the usual crowd.  See you all at the Liverpool game

Jane has kidnapped Stu, not sure if he'll ever be back, you know what she's like.

I was going to be a gentleman and not mention it, but seeing as Cooper already has... I bet Stu has cougar scratches all over his back by now!

I'm not doing that every other week! I'm far too old for those sort of shenanigans.

Next to the Elbow Room. The Drum's there now.
Thanks, Laurel and Hardy played in ASTON, Birmingham. w/c 22 March 1954,
at the Aston Hippodrome Theatre. They stayed at the Station Hotel not sure if that was in Aston though. There is a picture of them walking past the Bartons (built 1901 as M&Bs flagship pub) not sure how to post the pic though.
