Very moving tribute, Dom.

So very, very sad, no son or daughter should ever go before their parents.

RIP Rutski. Long may your memory remain.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends, stay strong for each other.

When you read something like that, who cares who is leaving or joining the club or any such other trivia.
What a most superb tribute.

Indeed but how many jumped for joy knowing he saw the Sunderland game?

To those that haven't read it; read it. It's humbling in only a way we all love our club.

Just really to echo what has said before.  This little online community of faceless individuals, linked together by something as ultimately as trivial as a football club, is actually a very caring and compassionate place.  You might not think it on occasions when arguments are raging over this or that, but when one of our own pass away - and I include ex players and officials in that - we should be very proud of the dignity and respect we show.

Dom, it is a very touching and moving piece. In writing and sharing that, you have shown all the attributes that make a true friend.  I'm sure Rutski - Mark - would be deeply moved.

A beautiful piece Dom, such a young age, such a cruel illness.May the memory of your great friendship give you some comfort, he sounded a really nice man.

 RIP Rutski.

That's a very powerful and moving piece of writing, Dom. Life is a brief candle, but it would seem Mark's burnt bright.

This is very sad news and it took me 3 attempts to read Dom's piece through tears, but it was worth coming back to as it was somehow a rewarding read. All any of us can hope at the end is to go knowing we were loved, and what comes through is that he was, and he knew.
RIP Rutski.

I found that a very difficult read, so I can only imagine how hard it was to write but it's a wonderful tribute.
