Nice gesture and would expect a bumper crowd to attend - good news.

I am sure the Villa have got something in mind to support Stan's foundation but all revenue received from the Malaga friendly could go there perhaps?

Why? We've done plenty to aid Stan and both his and other charities. We can't continue to hand out donations every time someone asks.

Was hoping we'd have one at Villa Park, shame I won't be able to attend being as it's up there.

It would have been nice to see villa play celtic in a game up there as a benefit , but we certainly wouldn't be looking to play it  in September.

That's after the Champions League qualifiers, so their season will be over by then.

They'd go into the Europa League.

Went to a cracking day out at Halesowen last season, it was well publicised on here.

Stiliyan Petrov's charity match is being screened live on BT Sport 2 this Sunday, with coverage starting from 1.30pm.

Does anybody know if there is going to be a facility set up (tweets, txt, phone, bank no.) for anybody watching who wants to donate as well? Just thought, what an opportunity.

I guess they will have a number at the bottom of the screen and the advertising boards will be giving it plenty.
