I am next out in Stour on Saturday. I look forward to debating football with any Tesco bag wanker that wants to talk to me...

Don't forget to ask them when they expect to sign Weimann.

Shortly after Benteke has done his strolling over hot coals stint to get there surely?

I am as happy as a pig in shit at the minute. I can't do any bits for the mag. They will be too cheerful!

I felt many times even during last season that there was no way I would swap the bulk of our team (with some obvious exceptions) for any other.  I love what Lambert is doing, and its great we are getting early quality signings which promise more of the same, plugging some of the gaps and providing more strength in depth.  Now if only we can get Benteke over the line... we will be a force to be reckoned with next season on a more consistent basis.

I'm as happy as Mike Baldwin at the swimming gala.

Not sure if that works actually

It doesn't, because you mean Len Fairclough don't you?

Can't wait for the season to start,  shirt out well early too not October as has happened before. If Benteke signs up on a new deal too will be even better

I was/am very excited by it all.

I don't know what will happen though. I believe top 8, i.e. 8th, is doable, but I really don't know how we will do, but I have faith.

It would be very exciting to go somewhere first day of the season and mop the floor with somebody, having gone under the radar and for people to sit up at the thought of playing us again.

I find- 'Do not adjust your set, normal service will be resumed' works quite well.

Just think we need to manage expectation levels a little. I think we'll do better than last season if we keep Beneteke and he stays fit, but we need to remember most teams will be significantly strengthening their squads this summer with all the extra tv money.
