Fixtures 2013-14 - do not post the full list.
« on: June 12, 2013, 06:14:06 PM »
Right, that is the new kit seen and sorted. (I like both home and away, but a podgy middle-aged fella should always stick with his 1957 retro FA Cup shirt; downward stripes are slimming.)

Next up, apart from more exciting young players signing, is the announcement of next season's FAPL fixtures on June 19.

Wish list to include:

-Home fixtures with promoted teams on the first and last days of the season. No Wiganesque worrying, thanks.
-Anything on Boxing Day that cannot be moved to 5.30 at home for TV.
-Nothing that might lead to a 15-0 drubbing sequence.

Home start this year against a long standing outfit like Fulham.

We don't do Sky Four openers.

Therefore, the return of Jose on the first Saturday night will be it of course.

I`ve long had my suspicions about the fixture computer and FA cup draw, the bollox (for thats what it is) about these things evening themselves out over time.

I'd love us to get Man U at home on the opening day. But of course, it'll be Crystal Palace away.

Changed my mind. I'd love Fulham away

Hot, sunny day by the river :P

Would quite like Hull at home as the opener; they've got a few players I'd quite like to get a look at.

Away.

First game of the season at home to the Black Shirts.
Followed by Cardiff away.
Then Chelsea at home.

Can I have the Baggies on Boxing Day, please?

Last home game of the season we will relegate a team.

A newly promoted southern club away, followed by an established decent club at home,  established lower/mid-table club away and a Big 4 at home in the first televised match of the season.

I'm going: Palace away, Everton home, Newcastle away, Chelsea home.

Other televised games:

Manchester United home will be Saturday teatime late November/early December
Arsenal away will be lunchtime New Year's Day
Albion away will be 11.30 on Mother's Day
Champion's League qualification secured last day of the season home to already-relegated Hull.
