The JD in the BHX departure lounge did have the Villa macron kits and some retro tops late last year but nothing a few weeks ago?

I fly in and out of Bremen airport on a regular basis, and I'm never left in any doubt which football club is based in the city.

Would be great if we could have something similar at BHX.

Some guy from the Walsall Supporters Club commented in tonight's E&S that as long as some of the cash ends up in the clubs coffers, he couldn't care what's on the hoarding.  Credit where it's due, they need to maximise any income they can.

That's great but is Werder Bremem the only club in the city?

Well I'm over there between 10 and 15 times per year, and unless I'm being totally ignorant I think they are the only club in the city.

But if they are not the only club and I am being totally ignorant, then well done Werder for making me so.

I'm not aware of any other proper clubs in Birmingham so it should be fine......

Pretty much, every other club in the town is well down the leagues.

I was on a coach trip to Barcelona a few years ago and the tour guide on the coach brought up the Barcelona club several times and did'nt mention Espanyol once, not even when we drove past the Olympic Stadium.

Not surprised to be frank, as Espanol are no great name , my sister in law Wendy and her mate Barbara are over in barcelona at the moment - lucky them, I've never visited there but it's on my to do list.

Barcelona is lovely.

May seem a silly question but what are the nearest beaches ? Is it a place for sightseeing or can it be a beach break too?

Obviously mrs east would not be keen on eastie visiting the now camp but if there's a good beach nearby it will help :)

So you didnt get inside the nou camp i take it , bit like visiting Rome and not taking in the colosseum but i guess  not much choice in just one day.
