We should put one up outside the Sty as well. I'm sure that would go down equally as well.

I like the comment "it don't half make us look daft".

Full credit to whoever came up with that idea. I've read that it's the most viewed advertising hoarding in the country.

Well it would smarten the place up 10fold if we did.

We could sponsor their closed stand

Walsall rake in plenty of cash from that hoarding... this is one of the unforeseen downsides.

I may have said this before recently.
I flew into Birmingham Airport for the first time in years last month and was amazed that there was absolutely nothing to indicate that Birmingham is the home of AVFC. As a frequent user of M'cr and Leeds Airports (and sometimes of Newcastle's), I am used to being bombarded with messaging and merchandising and it was incredibly noticeable how absent our presence is.

I'm not sure airports are good places to sell merchandise. The rents are massive, for a start.

Came through there this weekend and the main Duty Free shop has a small section selling merchandise for Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc., but nothing for Villa.

That's the trouble with national shops. They only stock national brands.

True.

But I'm also a big believer in supply and demand and as such if the customers wanted it, it'd be there.  I guess we just don't have that tourist/foreign fan appeal of those other clubs.

True, but it starts with a commitment to 'own' the space by advertising - even if it's simply of the "This is the home of Aston Villa" type.

It amazed me there is lack of advertising and Villa good in certain location. Airport for one, new street station another
