Goal of the season?

This one for me. Any others? The Benteke back-heel to Weimann was a close contender. Sod the offside RVP effort...

That video is really close to my view of it on the day. It was quite weird seeing it from there again!

I love the Weimann goal against Manure. TWAT, that was liquid football. Plus it includes the still very very funny sight of Smalling bouncing off Benteke.

Lowton's is my favourite, but I really like about 5-6 others.

We did have some excellent goals, Lowtons was far better than the one that one, personally I loved Weimann's following Bentekes back heel and good build up

Weimann's against Stoke was counter-attacking, crosstown traffic perfection.

Individual strike obviously goes to Lowton but Ron Vlaar's take and shot at the season's death was Van Bastenesque and as good a defender's goal by the Villa since Cahill against that lot.

Weimann's against Sunderland - the interception, forward movement, Andi's run, pass and finish were like the Villa of old.

I agree on this one, from a 'where we want to go' point of view this goal is the key for me.  The movement from Gabby and particularly Benteke to open the space that Weimann runs into is perfect, they just drag the Sunderland backline all over the place, and then it's a great touch and finish, all after Lowton did really well to intercept and drive forward before picking the pass.  It ticks all the boxes.

Wasn't there a before and after shot of that doing the rounds.
