when asked the question "will you be bringing in any experienced players"? PL just said "no, we'll be sticking with the same philosophy, players that want to play for this football club".

But vlaar and kea were at least reasonably experienced. Maybe he thinks they've not been great

I'd like to think he could show a bit of flexibility and sign a relatively experienced centre half. We did sail pretty close to the wind after all!

I thought Paul Lambert spoke honestly, impressively and intelligently. He clearly has strong views on the team over the individual and he clearly has no time for 'experienced' journeymen who's first question is 'how much will I be paid?'. The way he has gone this season with young, hungry and ambitious players is obviously the way he will continue to go, regardless of finances. I hesitate to say this, but he came across like a modern day Ron Saunders. Good to see Rambo still classes himself as one of us too. However, I'm not sure about his claim that the Holte End have never forgiven SGT for selling him. As someone who went home and away in '87-'88, at times I couldn't forgive Sir Graham for buying him!

Yes I found it very interesting, but don't think by the comments on here that it was all about Villa - 90% of it was about the champions League final. All very good though, Jan Aage Fjortoft was also on with them.
It's nice to watch a chat show where the guests are given time to talk and tell their stories.
Good luck Dortmund on Saturday!
