A night at the pub

A Night In The Pub With Aston Villa
Brad guzan - shouts a lot and seems to handle whatever drinks are thrown at him, capable of the spectacular on occasion. On closer inspection it becomes apparent that he is spilling a lot and he isn't that good at drinking.

Joe bennet - naive. Tries to prove that he can mix it on a night out by matching the bigger drinkers pint for pint. Is immediately found out and has to leave early, a boy in a game of men.

Nathan baker - a walking accident. Spends the first half of the night looking composed like he can handle it. Then inexplicably wets himself. Carries on manfully for the rest of the evening, but the doubts remain that he may do it again.

Ron Vlaar - blood and thunder. Downs every pint then smashes the glass on his head. Never afraid to try something spectacular.

Matthew Lowton - unexpectedly proves to be a great drinker on his first night out. Diligently matches the headline performers without receiving the plaudits. Capable of something special and will occasionaly do a funnel if required.

Fabian Delph - spends the first 45 minutes in the bar like a bull in a china shop, hitting the bar hard and drinking as much as he can. Receives a warning from the bouncer and settles down, tries not to get noticed again.

Ashley Westwood - the man in charge of the kitty. Sits at the bar and distributes the drinks to others without any fuss. Occasionally has a sip himself, but realises that isn't where his talent lies.

Yacouba Sylla - no one knows what his favourite drink is. Tries everything at the bar, but never seems to be able to handle any of it. Everyone accepts that he is trying without showing any drinking prowess.

Andy Weimann - a real hit or miss kind of drinker. Depending on mood he could be the best one out there, handling every drink that comes his way with the assuredness of a seasoned pro. If not, he will get into a good position half way through a pint, but still fail to finish his drink. Anonymity will follow for the rest of the night as he tries to avoid any more drinks.

Gabby Agbonlahor - the local. The barman knows his tipple and knows what to expect. He will drink the first ¾ of each pint in a flash, then look like he doesn't know how to finish off the last gulp.

Christian Benteke - the glamour of the group. Gets all the attention, and rightly so. A monster of a man, he can elbow through a crowded pub to get to the bar first, then brings everyone else to the front to get served too. More than prepared to do the drinking for everyone else if they can't cut the mustard.

Paul Lambert - the dad on the night out with his son and his friends. No one knows why he is there, but he is beaming with pride. Enthusiasm personified. Thoroughly likeable.

Hey Havencheese - sorry you didn't like it, I thought it was mildly interesting and mildly amusing what was being said somewhere else, and thought since there wasn't much going on I'd post it - but if ou think it's worthy of the sarcasm aimed at me, that's your choice

Excellent critique although I think Yacouba Sylla is starting to show more prowess with his drinking now!  :P

Way-harsh on nearly every player but I had to laugh at the Westwood comparison.
"Occasionally has a sip himself, but realises that isn't where his talent lies." Quality.
