Just saw the put up by Aston Villa official on Facebook.  Well done to the Claret & Blue ladies!  Can we have a picture of the good looking one put up?

What's her name?

Can't remember. :(

Maddy Cusack?

How come we are in WSL 2?

Because we are only fourth in the current second tier and we aren't Man City.

You learn something new every day - and for me today, it's that Crackle is a surname. What a lovely name, Hayley Crackle. And that's a genuine comment btw.

I went to college with a girl called Crystal Haddock, which I always thought was a fantastic name. Years later, one of my ex-girlfriends was cousins with a Crystal Haddock, but having looked at her on the ex's Facebook page, she wasn't the same one. So there are, at least, two Crystal Haddocks in Birmingham, which I found amusing. My ex didn't though, I got in trouble as she thought I was taking the piss out of her cousin, which I wasn't, I was just admiring her name.

Crystal Haddock sounds like a really crap wedding present.

I was there!!!   Thanks to the numbskulls at the FA, they'd decided the venue for the League Cup Final would be York, which is only about 40 miles as the crow files from Leeds.  So, what was supposed to be a "neutral" venue ended up being like Elland Road...

What was impressive yesterday was that the girls played exceptionally well, held their nerve and showed real desire and commitment.  Megan Walsh the goalie had a blinder of a game and her saves kept us in the tie - Jade Richards one of our defenders also played outstandingly well.  Maybe we ought to swap them for Guzan and Bennett on Saturday in the hope that Villa might keep a clean sheet!

The penalties were nail-biting, but once again the girls held their nerve.  And Paul Lambert would do no harm in pointing that out to the men prior to Saturdays game.

The Ladies have developed, and I am confident this team will stick together, and we will be in the WSL Division 1 sooner rather than later....
