Villa chants
« on: April 14, 2013, 01:54:43 AM »
I'm sure there was a thread, I've tried a search but the server is slow, where is the main thread for chants?

May as well post my suggestion in here.

Something needs to be made from this. Whether it's the song the team runs out at Villa Park to or it's re-worded to make a chant. I think it's perfect for football. We aren't really blessed with chants but I think this has potential.

Imagine this played before the game, the riff starts and everyone gets involved, I honestly think this is perfect. It's better than 54321 anyway.

They're a Birmingham band, Heavy Metal is a Birmingham sound and it's intimidating as fuck, what's not to like?

Errrr...that is shockingly bad even for Judas Priest! Its got potential if you support a team that ends with the word "United" but pretty lame otherwise.

Fair enough.

I tried, I failed.

Lock thread.

P.S. Should I try again or should I give up? There is a creative lull in football chants, every team sings Sloop John B or 7 Nation Army or a Soccer AM cringe chant, I thought I'd go for a unique song.

Sorry.

Best chants I've heard this season were the ones aimed at Joe Hart's scalp a few weeks back at the Man City game.

The Joe Hart thing was hilarious and he took it in good spirit. Others I've laughed at this season - QPR/Harry Redknapp " Stand up if you pay your tax" and "You're supposed to be in jail" (an oldie but goldie); and against Liverpool "Luis Suarez, his teeth were offside"

High on amusement value; low on originality (to take Smirker's point).

Pointing out to Gareth Bale his passing resemblance to a certain primate was mildly entertaining. ;D
