We also played another country's cup winners after winning the cup 70 years before that! 126 years ago today in fact.

Are you sure it was 1887? We played Queens Park on Easter Monday 1888, in the last game we played against them. In 1887 we played them on January 1st (or rather our reserves did) then at Cathkin Park on January 3rd, when the match was abandoned after a riot.

Any idea what caused the riot dave, out of curiosity?
