Night games can be good. A derby night game for instance always feels a little more exciting than a 3pm or 12 noon kick off.

Yes, like 03-03-03....

Shudder...

some of the saturday afternoon kick-offs in the spanish games are actually down to the fact they're trying to crack the far east and compete with the premier league.

Arent they down to clubs being involved with champions lge the following week?

Nope, they are trying to do what the Premier League has done for years, get the interest in the far east as they can watch live games. Real Madrid for example are aware of their lack of exposure over their which could be a huge market for them.

Culturally the Spanish are as much opposed to 3pm kickoffs as we are to 8pm kickoffs.  I wonder who the fans blame over there without Sky to beat up?!
Late kick offs in Spain, especially in the summer are because of the high temperatures. You really do not want to be playing in 42c on 3pm on a Saturday or Sunday.

I know. Hence why they don't really do or get 3pm kickoffs over there.

I went to the Ticket Office yesterday for my Fulham tickets and advised the woman on the counter that I would have bought tickets for Sunderland too but as they've moved it I can't make it.

She nodded her head, as did the bloke in the queue when I moaned about games being swapped. She also said that they'd already had loads of tickets returned as a result.

I had finally managed to persuade my girlfriend to attend her first ever football match, organisigin train tickets and an overnight hotel in Birmingham and then the Sky switch happened. She is delighted.

Does anyone have anything they can recommend for us to do instead of the game over this weekend now?

You're staying at a hotel with your bird?

Can we move this to Off Topic before I reply?

To add to Stu's reccomendations Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon and Kennilworth are all within an hours train journey and costs about £6-7 return. The trains a re pretty frequent aswell.

Kenilworth hasn't got a train station.

My £5 Bring A Buddy ticket was magically turned into £7 when the charming Sophie added (right at the end of the summary), a £2 'Booking Fee'.

Am I right in thinking we've done quite well in Night games at home this season?

Tranmere - Won
Man Utd - Unlucy not to get atleast a point, Lost
Arsenal - Good Performance, Drawn
Reading - Won
Spurs - Ok that was shite
Bradford - Won but not by enough
Newcastle - Amazing Second half performance unlucky
Man City - Deserved a point

Ok maybe not then.

Whoops, a connecting bus from close by Warwick. I know Warwick county council are looking to re-open the old Kennilworth Station in the near future but not before the Sunderland game, sorry.

Monday night will certainly lower the away support. And with Fletcher out for 6 weeks think things will be in our favour .....

I think moving this game fucks us up entirely - we are shit on TV on Monday nights, at home, the pressure will be massive. Refs and the FA want us relegated. I am sure of it.

Post of the year.

I thank you.

Is there a monetary prize for such?

I moaned when it was switched but I actually had a woman moaning like hell to me earlier tonight about Sky and blaming them that she missed the "best game ever" as her husband had to work.
I couldn't convince her that if it had been played Saturday it more than likely wouldn't have panned out the way it did and we might even have lost.
"How would it have made any difference to the score if we'd have been there?" she said.
I gave up.
