Lerner and Faulkner Out - Now
« on: March 07, 2013, 11:32:50 PM »
I have resisted the urge to post this for a long time, believing that someone likeminded would wake up and smell the coffee but it seems like we are sleepwalking to disaster here like a crew that is just letting the Captain keep at the helm even though we can all see the huge Iceberg.

Game after game I hear the groans and feel the frustration in the crowd but it only seems to be directed at the players.

This is so wrong, Randy Lerner is responsible for Aston VillA FC, he chose the role of custodian to this great footballing institution and over the past three years I have watched him systematically destroy this football club along with his moronic sidekick Paul Faulkener.  How long are we going to blame managers or the players who continue to work in impossible circumstances trying to survive in this over inflated Sky TV league.

We sold on Barry, Downing, Milner and Young and replaced them with nothing until a panic buy of Bent, a whole England midfield in exchange for a lone striker - Genius Randy!!

We sold on Collins while we had an injured Dunn and now have no defence - Genius Randy!!

Paul Lambert has come in and actually made some good signings in Vlaar and Benteke but he is on a tight budget with increasingly less incentive for players to come to B6 - Legacy of Randy!!

When are we going to say enough is enough, when are we finally going to show our anger in the right direction.  Randy Lerner has killed Aston Villa along with Paul Faulkner but we boo Gardner - what a joke!

Villa used to be great and will be great again but only when we have football people in charge, Randy and Paul please go and go NOW!!!

Yawn. Petulant and over reactionary. Can't you keep it in the Lerner thread rather than spilling over onto yet another new thread on this subject.

In response to your points, we gambled on Pubehead, lost and now have to rebuild. We haven't a pot to piss in because the wages were absolutely mental and we're avoiding the same mistakes that we did under O'Pubes with regards to that issue. Lerner isn't responsible for selling Collins (or anyone else for that matter) and he isn't responsible for Dunne being made of glass.

Agreed. Can't see any point whatsoever in this thread, nothing that hasn't been said ad nauseum in a dozen other places on here
