We’ll get the full 5400 behind the goal.

I would imagine Wigan will enforce the policy that they do when they play Yanited et al where you cannot buy tickets without a booking history. Given that I have a North West Post code, I might buy a ticket for a random game and hoover up a few thousand to sell on!

They gave Sunderland 7000 tickets on the side for a game one year.

The idea that the police would reduce our allocation is total horseshite. They cope with the most badly behaved fans in the country having 5400, they can cope with us.

We’ll be safe by then anyway.

Ads, the police limited our allocation last season to 3700. Which sold out. I just hope that the smoke bomb that was set off in the away end, as well as the one at Crewe station by Villa fans, doesn't have an impact on our allocation.

I was going to say i thought our allocation was reduced last season.

Surely Wigan will try and limit the number of fans if it's an us or them scenario.

A packed away end will give Villa an edge, surely?

Some fans will buy a ticket for a home Wigan game before the Villa game,  sell on the ticket,  and then use the booking history to buy a ticket for the Villa game.

The ticket office limited our tickets, not the Met.

Doesn't matter.  Viagogo will be season ticket holders selling tickets for games they can't make.  Has nothing to do with the club's ticket office.  It's the same with the Villa - Sunderland and Chelsea aren't listed on the OS but they are on Viagogo.

I've never bought tickets from Viagogo before but I have sold my season ticket.   When you sell a seat it does say that the purchaser has to pass checks with the club to confirm they're home fans so Viagogo might not be an easy way round the booking history problem.

No decisions have been made yet about allocations but it's likely to be a club rather than police decision and the Villa will have no say in it.

So far in my experience the checks arent too stringent, Ive not had any problems buying seats in the wrong end yet.  Out of interest there is someone trying to sell their seat in the lower north for the Chelsea game for £65 !

How about giving it a rest, just for once?
