There's so many ways to stick it to Lerner - business, finance, and football, he's made a pig's ear of it all.

He's right to stick it up them, we are a diabolically run club.

The worst of it is, if we offered a non-exec director role at the club a lot of the reasons for that would disappear.

Note the phrase 'our club.' Not 'their club' or 'your club'.  Our club.

Something that has been lacking over the past few years.

ANY competent, note ANY competent board  would surely have put to use the knowledge and experience of a Villa man like SGT. We wouldn't be the shambles we are now in that case. Given the fucking morons running Villa now it's no surprise he was overlooked

Class act. I'd love him to come on board here in some capacity to give this club a little bit of insight and some guidance for a severely out of his depth PL. Won't happen of course, but it's a shame. We need some knowledge at the high end of this club and support for a younger manager if that's the way Randy intends to go.

His love for Aston Villa is boundless and it must be killing him to see us where we are. Collymore said recently that the Villa family was out there to help the club and they all want to. Why they are so stubborn not to listen is beyond me.

I wonder if Tom Hanks is rich enough to buy and give enough money for rebuilding :D

I always remember when he took over for his second spell in charge. We had finished around 7th/8th and in an interview he talked bout taken us up a good few places in the league and winning one of the cups. Only ever wanted the best for Aston Villa.

"I think managing Aston Villa from managing Norwich is totally different for Paul Lambert."

Reminds me of something I read in John Gregory's autobiography.  He said that when he got the Villa job, his first phone call was from his former manager Arthur Cox (like GT a proper football man) who said, "That's not a cornershop that they've given you, it's a bloody megastore.  Are you sure you can run a megastore?  Are you ready for this?".

Graham Taylor was rudely snubbed by Lerner in the early days. For such a gentleman, this is as close as he can go without calling Lerner a twat.

I'll say it....Fucking TWAT Lerner!

Can we have him back please? In any capacity, just talking about our club, being a figure head, putting his trusted hand on the rudder!
