Yes, stretched personal finances permitting. Not been watching premier league football for most of three seasons now, don't see why I should treat next season any differently.

Re: Premier League football. One, albeit small, advantage of relegation will be that when we watch televised top-flight games we can cheer for who we want.

I always feel dirty having to hope, say, Man Ure beat Reading or Spurszzzz beat Wigan.

I haven't go a season ticket this year, but I will get one next season regardless of the division we are in.

At this point I don't know. It's not dependant on if we go down or not. I'm self employed and work Saturdays. But when the villa play I finish early losing out on earnings. The past few years I've just stopped enjoying it. I don't look forward to trips down the villa like I used to. Even if we stay up I will still be feeling the same. Me renewing is not based on whether we stay up or not. It costs me a lot of money every Saturday I go and since I'm not enjoying what I see I have some serious questions to answer. It's not even like I'm being entertained. The football being served up is so poor. If we were at the games watching good football but still in this predicament i know I'd feel different.

The renewal will be based entirely on money available.  If i can afford, I will renew

After 35 years as a fan, 27 years going regularly and 20+ years as a Season Ticket holder it has never been more tempting to throw in the towel but come August against my better judgement I will no doubt still be there. I'd only be glued to the radio/internet following what was happening if I wasn't at Villa Park anyway.

I meant more from the point of view of scores updates on the Beeb website that live streams (which of course are naughty anyway ;-) )

At this moment in time my honest answer is "Not sure". It's killing me to see the club I've supported for 35 years being destroyed before my very eyes. The whole experience of matchday is no longer as enjoyable as it used to be. I'm disillusioned with modern football on a whole so come next season I'm really gonna have to sit down & think hard about giving my hard earned money to the fools running my great club!!!!

A lot will depend on whether those friends I only see on match days renew, and also I'm getting increasingly disillusioned with modern day football, but in all likelihood, Yes, regardless of what league we're in. Money is tight but it's just what I do and I can't imagine Villa having a home game and me not being there

As far as I'm aware, we're still in the PL and have every chance of staying up.

Why not ask "will you be renewing when we finish 15th?"?

how about because its not going to happen? why not ask "will you be renewing when we sign Messi"  Worse GD, bottom of the form guide, 2nd bottom, lost at home to three rivals in a row, squad devoid of confidence, every team around us picking up points, every team around us strengthening in Jan transfer window, another set back in Richard Dunnes injury, about to go away to everton (1 loss in 12). Please, please CBBB, convince me otherwise.

Bit early for this sort of question isn't it?
