Blackpool's Matt Phillips,
West Ham's Mohamed Diamé,
Fulham's Brede Hangeland

I would be very satisfied with this.
I just saw someone say that on Twitter.

Tawkspawt saying Diame to sign new contract at wet spam tomorrow despite his release clause being triggered. Didn't say by whom

You can buy a show pony in fancy dress that does not concentrate on football at a circus, for much less.

Asier Illarramendi £3m 30k wages
Mohamed Diamé £3.5m 50k wages
Yacouba Sylla £1.5m 20k wages  ;)

Would completely change our midfield and make us bloody solid.

It reads like a Moroccan restaurant's set menu. That can make you pretty solid, too.

Ricardo Gardner - free transfer, on a 6 month deal.
Chris Brunt - 6 million.
Curtis Davies - 2 million

Not very imaginative, but I'd sooner take a punt on Davies than go in for Carragher.
Brunt does all the unfashionable stuff, and can get the odd goal.
Gardner- would prob do a job and is on a free.

haven't a clue what the going rate is re wages, so I haven't even attempted it.

I'd like to think that I'll be able to go all day tomorrow avoiding the final day of the transfer window, but I bet I'm pressing F5 before 9am.
