Unsubscribe your AVFC club mail for reaction
« on: January 30, 2013, 02:42:02 AM »
Hi everyone,

Here's a "A Small and Painless Gesture To Get Our Message Across"

An idea that started by WentToRotterdam at Vital Villa;

Quote
Let's face it, as fans of this great club, (nearly 50 years for me), we know when the next match is and we know where the club shop is if we want to buy something, we also know that the current owners are now only after our money - we also know that the current regime doesn't talk or listen to it's customers. I was thinking of a way to make a point and a few moments ago I received an email from the club - It got me thinking and I thought maybe this will work without damaging the little lambs confidence at the games.

I have just unsubscribed from the club's internet mailing list as I look at the fixtures to find out who we are losing to next. As a money grabbing outfit they will monitor subscriber opt out rates. Perhaps if we all unsubscribed over the next few days this is a way of getting a message across. We can always subscribe again at any point in the future if we want to and it just might be that this little silent protest does not go un noticed. It might even save them a bit of cash by hosting a smaller list. A small gesture indeed but a gesture nevertheless - UTV

Please join in to this Small and Painless Gesture and spread the word. The mailing list isn't worth much anyway. UTV!

I lost my temper with them after the Millwall defeat, there was an email in my hotmail account about some sale or other, to which I replied: Fuck off you useless twats. In caps- now thats swearing. I felt a bit bad after I'd done it, but next time I checked my account saw it had not been delivered. They can still fuck off though!

I've unliked them on Facebook but that's mainly due to the knob head comments

Did it after the email following the Bradform shambles. Also told them to fuck off.  Just dont go.  Wouldn't make a difference to this team if there were 0 or 40k at the game.  Would definately get a message across.  Its not like anyone who has paid their season tickets actually enjoys it anymore.  2 points from 21 and 6 wins in 40 league games.  Pathetic.

The people who send those emails are not responsible for the current footballing shambles. Giving them abuse is out of order.

Out of interest did you ask doug and ron for their  autograph last night ?
Brings t mind the old saying "better the devil you know"- how is the old devil - still got all his marbles i hope - ive always had time for doug though not always agreed with him.

Regarding all the e mails - i just send them straight to junk where they belong.

Did the AVFC last season after the appointment of TSM - in direct conflict with the overwelming majority of fans.

Did the FB unlike when Inspector Clueless Clousseau was in charge with the bullshit he used to spout as we battled against relegation.

No point - know how to buy a ticket / merchandise etc.. And FB is ultimately another marketing channel

Doug is always willing to stop for a chat. He walks with a bit of a stoop now but he is an elderly man so it is to be expected.
It doesn't stop him getting to the games.

Done.
I have dumped my AVTV subscription too, which gives you 120 characters to explain why. It was quite difficult not to swear.

If I was Ellis after making an absolute fortune out of the club, I wouldn't mind spending time talking to people. As opposed to a bloke that has put an absolute fortune into the club and speaks to no one (except PL if you believe the hype).

They shouldn't have to. What good does it do swearing at an office junior?
