From what I can gather, the message from the club is 'Stop complaining, chin up, in a few years it'll all be alright'.

If we're to improve, maybe this is true.

I'm sure Everton were shit under Moyes for a while.

Doogan seemed very sure that their were enough green shoots shown to indicate we'd stay up. Call it total denial if you will, but he seemed very clear about it.

No matter how hard our fans press, he's not going to realistically talk about relegation. Are they in denial, I don't know, but Doogan seems to have a lot more confidence in the team than us.

He did seem to strongly suggest without saying it directly that there would likely be no business done in the remaining days of the window.  He strongly suggested that it was the managers intention to see out the rest of the season with what we have got.  If that is the case then we really have to hold PL to account at the end of the season not now.

Put Doogan into PR at HMV, Jessops or Blockbuster and in the past few weeks he'd have come out with the usual corporate line until the unthinkable happens.

Well the unthinkable happened to HMV, Jessops & Blockbuster and the unthinkable is fast becoming a dangerous reality for my team.

You can understand the club wanting to reach out to the fans but to do it in such a half-arsed way with a total lack of substance does not sooth any worries.

That's a shame, plenty was intended!

We're not all that bad.

Just another in the long line of yes men.

Doogan was brought in by O'Neill.
