Never tire of watching that game. What an atmosphere.

I was at Rotterdam, and Wembley in 75, 77, 94, and 2000.I was at Highbury when we won the league, and at VP when we beat Lplop 5-1, but for some reason the Tranmere game is still my favourite Villa game.

Pretty much ditto for me less Wembley 75, this is my favourite game with the Arsenal Father Christmas game a close second.

Neither of you went in '96?

I was on Her Majestys Service in the jungles of South America.
To busy chopping trees down to follow the Villa. No excuse Jon ;)

More of a 6 month game to see who could get the furthest into Guatemala without getting caught and claiming it was purely a map reading mistake honest Sir.  My call sign came close, but I cannot condone that sort of childish behaviour.

In recent memory, the Leicester Semi was the only one without any real incident or excitement. Even the Bolton one had us close to winning it on away goals with our chances but wayward finishing cost us. Let us all hope that is not the case tomorrow.

The Leicester semi was dreadful, the Bolton semi had all the promise of a great game, if I remember correctly JLloyd Samuel scored late on in front of the Holte?

What a day that was in 1994, two weeks of misery beforehand after losing the first leg then getting knocked out of the FA Cup at Bolton and having to wait to the Sunday, the atmosphere beforehand was from recollection a very nervous one with many on the Holte that day looking around thinking how the hell can we turn this around.  We shouldn't have worried our name was on the Cup that year with the draws we had and some of the luck we had.  Great memories and I must admit I nearly passed out after Rico blasted it over the bar.   Oh for even half the drama tomorrow.  Come on Villa, we can do this, every single one of us.

Love how we scored our first vs Tranmere bang on 19 minutes, imagine if the same happens tomorrow

The 94 shirt is getting dragged out of retirement for tomorrow night. It worked then and it will work tomorrow.

Seeing Andy Townsend on PremierADLive tonight, he's aged pretty well.

There are plenty of other ways of getting on the pitch. FootballAid, for example. I took part in this a few years ago and loved every second of it.

I am looking to do that, how much is it? Never got an email back from them

I may be too old for such things these days but pitch invasions are a bit of a Villa tradition.

Archetypal Villa. If we're going to win, we're going to do it the hard way.

My favourite Villa game ever, which in itself says all you need to know, when you consider the Final!

Proper mental celebrations on the Holte after every goal and penalty. If you notice, Dalian doesn't really celebrate his goal much despite everyone else going barmy. I remember Big Ron explaining why - Dalian thought we still needed another goal to keep us in it! Not the sharpest tool in the box, our Dalian.

That game was the true "Holte's Last Stand", the last time we truly stood shoulder to shoulder and experienced the real rocking, writhing, dangerous and emotional roller-coaster that only a packed Holte End in a vitally important game could produce.
Also I reckon it was the last time I cried at a football match.

Judging by the Tranmere defence, they might have thought the same as well. No one moved or reacted after the goal.

Dave, I think that's one of the reasons so many people remember the game with such affection: the standing experience at its very best.  When the delirium from the final penalty save had died down, I found myself man-hugging a bloke who I'd stood near for years, but never knew his name, tears in ours eyes, and all we kept saying to one another was, "Wembley...we're going to fucking Wembley!"
