Guess who *just* booked a flight on 31st March, which was carefully (and somewhat sneakily) arranged so that I *wouldn't* miss the Liverpool game?

grrrrrrrrr.

Bad luck; I know how you feel. A few weeks ago I booked a flight from LHR to Hong Kong for Sun 10 Feb 21.35 hrs. The West Ham game was then moved back to 13.30 hrs on the same day which means I and my wife will have to go straight from Villa Park to LHR. Could have been worse, if it had been put back to 16.00 hrs we'd have had to miss the game.

Is it just me, but we seem to be on TV a lot more this season?

We are not waiting more than a month after winning it to do that!

May be something to do with TV more interested in our visitors than us? Last few TV home games were Spurs, Arsenal and Manu.

I think its because the whole world is interested in how we climb out of this relegation battle,  lets face it a hum drum game a couple of seasons ago with Man City would be a quick final 10 minutes of Match of the Day goaless draw.

I personaly find it such a comfort that Sky and ESPN (other TV stations are available) care about our plight so much that they will show us against comparable teams like Spurs and Man City at least these will be entertaining close games with little to seperate the teams and great oportunities for the public to will us on to avoid relegation and perhaps suck Man City back into the relegation dogfight with us.

Be different if they only showed us against the big teams like Man U and Liverpool when we would just be lambs to the slaughter.

I reckon that Hanson lad is a stonking defender but that Liverpool No 10 Souness is so dirty.

Still I reckon Morley, Withe and Shaw can smash the City defence at home and send them packing back up to Maine Road, (wonder if Dezzy B is playing alongside Sid?) and all 46,000 of us will cheer the boys on to Victory 'over land and sea,....and Water!'

Can't wait for Mortimer to lift that cup again!

God wasn't football great once upon a time........

Darren Bent's debut two years ago this week at home to Man City live on Sky on a Sat evening. 1-0 oh yes oh yay.
