We need to score 3 or 4 to win/avoid defeat.

0-3 away win - I see nothing to be optimistic about at all here.

Have we ever been so bad where we are all pretty much in agreement that we have to score at least two goals to even think about drawing a match!?
I agree, I can see 3 goals at least for Southampton

The thought of lallana Ramirez and lambert up against our defence is worrying. You could have driven a jumbo jet between baker and Clark at times in recent games

Bogey side at best for us. They'll tear us a new one! :(

We'll lose, not sure by how many goals, but we'll lose.

Villa 1 - 4 Saints

Easy win for them.

This will be the weekend we will plunge into the bottom 3 and stay there.

We cannot defend set pieces and we cannot defend as a cohesive unit. The midfield is the flimsiest in league football and offers no protection or creativity.

Our only hope is that we hoof enough balls into Benteke to outscore them, however, I feel we will need to score three just to get a point.

This is a very sad indictment considering Southampton are an awful side who shipped 5 at home on the weekend.

But then were are abysmal at the back and up the spine of the side. The players have no leadership and no organisation.

We will be managerless come next Monday.

Managerless Aston Villa, I like it, it has a certain ring to it.

Something has to change. Our defence needs at least one calm, experienced head. Our midfield needs Westwood back and a dominant Scott Parker type. Our defence is torn to shreds partly because our midfield is so open.

As we have no hint of buying it'll be men against boys and we'll lose.

Maybe an early two goals could give us hope!

I'd rather have a couple of cloggers like Shaun Derry and Karl Henry than Bannan and Delph. FFS. At least that type of player get's stuck in and gives the back 4 some protection.

I can't see Clark & Baker handling Rickie Lambert.
We'll lose 3-0 and Lambert will get sacked.

Before the game at their place, having lost their first four matches and getting tonked 6-1 by Arsenal, Adkins said 'the season starts against Villa next week'. How we laughed. Then they spanked us. Adkins will be telling them this is a route out of relegation for them, and sadly he's probably not wrong. With the state of our defence and our powder puff midfield, I really can't see where our next win let alone clean sheet is coming from. I just want this season to end
