I feel wretched and fed up. I have a cold, I'm tired and everything is shit... yet I still think we'll win the tie somehow.
We just have to, well... not make a jobbing division 4 side look competent by merely playing sensible football.

By rights, if we stop mourning over our christmas nightmare and get on with it, we can hammer these lot into the dust. Never mind win 2-0.

By the way, are there really people asking what's the point of going to Wembley in a final?
Please...

Wel said that man.

We'll get through after one of those nights that comes along every 10 years or so.

We had one of those against Blackburn three years ago, are we due another already?

Nope. I think we'll win the next leg by the odd goal or draw it in further humiliation, barring quite a substantial shift.

Might well get to Wembley but it will only paper over the cracks. Total inept shower of shit. Fucking disgraceful performance by the team and the rabbit in the headlights on the bench.

Yes. We will get to the FA Cup semi-final then lose 27-0 to Macclesfield.

For the Championship playoffs next year? Maybe, if we invest we might have a shot at coming back up quickly.

It'll be worth all the angst.   Winning will be so much sweeter.

I agree and perversely after all the angst it'll make us more likely to win it than if we strolled through the semi. Sometimes football's a bit bizarre like that.

Even if we do, it'll only be a brief respite before the players resume the National Laughing Stock Tour 2012/13 on February 24th.

The 24th is the day after my 40th birthday. In a year of crushing disappointments when it comes to Villa, I really don't think I could take a dicking at the hands of Chelsea so soon after becoming over the hill.

Compared to the team of 94, the present lot and manager ate utter gash

Tranmere '94. Go 2-0 early, extra time, woodwork saves us in the last minute and hopefully  Guzan to save 3 pens. Believe!

Fuck Wembley. I don't want to see us laid bare once again for the world to laugh. And then hear the manager mumble about "going again" or some other such nonsense after spending most of the game staring into space from the bench while his team collapse like a house of cards on the pitch.

Fuck that for a game of soldiers.
