Is it just me that finds all these 'Woe is me' threads pretty risible?
Get your arses down to Villa Park and roar the lads on to Wembley.

I'm looking at my ticket for the home leg and firmly believe we'll be heading to Wembley.

Maybe it's 'our year' for going down.  You just can't run a club in this amateurish manner and expect anything other than trouble.

I'll still be going to the home leg. If we get through, it'll be one of the great VP nights. If we don't, it's not like I wasn't expecting it. Besides, I spazzed out £60 on two tickets so they'll be getting an evening of my gobshite directed at them come what may.

Depends how we defend TBH. We should be able to get the goals but whether we keep a clean sheet is another matter. Hopefully we will have a couple of new faces by the 2nd leg too.

Yes, but only because by some miracle we'll improve defensively enough to squeak through. And by that I mean Guzan back in goal, possibly a signing, or as good, Vlaar returning. I expect it to be all guns blazing, and we will put away our chances. As shit as were overall, if we score one early to take away the mounting pressure we could score a hatful. Yes, I'm being optimistic, but Bradford will now be under pressure themselves to see the job through which is a tough ask away to a PL club even with a two goal lead.

But we need help there is no doubt and if the same starting goalkeepr, defence and midfield start the next leg, we're fucked.

Yes we will.

If we can't score 2 at home in front of a packed Villa Park against an average team 3 tiers below us then we are seriously screwed.  We're a team of many championship players but that still should be enough.  In 3 weeks we should have something that resembles a defence too.

The hard way is our way, it should be our motto.

Starting to question why I should keep spending money on them to be honest.

More concerned about the league.
League cup is not important.

agreed but being knocked out by Bradford is only going to leave a huge dent in the confidence levels.

Also why are ppl so worried about being tonked in the final? Huge achievement to get there and good experience for the players.

I reckon we will concede at Villa Park.  We might even concede two.  Having said that, I know we can win this tie.

I don't want to put the mockers on things and I never bet on Villa to win for fear of jinxing things but I'm curious to know what our odds are for winning the whole thing now.  This is the type of scenario where I'd be throwing a speculative tenner on a club in Villa's position.

EDIT:  PaddyPower have us at 6-1 to lift the trophy.  Come on Villa!!

What is the point, we will get spanked if we were to get there which we wont. Ji=ust hope that we can survive another year in the PL and that they will somehow get some players in to help us survive.

I feel wretched and fed up. I have a cold, I'm tired and everything is shit... yet I still think we'll win the tie somehow.
We just have to, well... not make a jobbing division 4 side look competent by merely playing sensible football.

By rights, if we stop mourning over our christmas nightmare and get on with it, we can hammer these lot into the dust. Never mind win 2-0.

By the way, are there really people asking what's the point of going to Wembley in a final?
Please...

Wel said that man.

We'll get through after one of those nights that comes along every 10 years or so.

It'll be worth all the angst.   Winning will be so much sweeter.
