Occlusion in an affected limb can lead to swelling, sensations of burning and numbness and severe pain, and even if anticoagulated there's no stated recovery time. I'm not saying he has that or even if it's likely (most medical searches rule it out in favour of something less severe and non-specfic) but it's an idea as to why a general knock is taking so long to heal. If he's had a few operations in the past, Concrete might have developed some clots that have caused some damage.
