Injury watch.
« on: December 29, 2012, 10:12:28 PM »
Clearly experience is lacking in the team that Lambert is able to field these days and quite rightly that has been identified as one of the main reason for our current position. We have number of senior players in the treatment room but I have no idea as to how serious their injuries are and when we should expect them back. Any idea from the forum on:
Vlaar
Dunne
Gabby
N'Zobia
Bent

Vlaar - Soft toilet tissue issue, finger poking through on 2nd wipe.
Dunne - Underportion of the Paella.
Gabby - Light training on Peter and Jane remedial books next week
N'Zogbia - almost up to peak fitness, booting balls into Trinity Road stand as we speak.
Bent - RSI due to overuse of redial button to agent.

Just reading that list you get various feelings until you reach the bottom. Then it hits you hard. Very hard.

this is why  Randy's cheque book is required in Jan - the most critical month in our season

This is typical of our bad luck. I have always said that, even if we bought the best eleven players in the world, we would be fielding the reserves in six months. At what other club do people mention a players name to long standing supporters and the say 'is he still on the books?' Players just drop into the abyss.

It does and I'm not really sure he should be included on that list, that transcends an injury list.

What I find odd is Lambert saying he has no idea when players are back. Surely a physio is keeping track of it and has some sort of idea. I mean what's wrong with Vlaar he's been out for ages.

Do we still have the same medical team as we have had for a few years or are they a new team brought in by PL?  Because I cannot remember having so many players out with, on first appearance, minor injuries which then take 6 or more weeks to resolve.

This was on the back of my mind when I started this thread. Initial news was out for couple of games and now no idea as to his return. Dunne seems to be ready and than not. N'Zogbia gets injured when he is lying down on the treatment table it appears!

Lambert said he played through an injury in the press conference after the game.

We were by the players car park before the game and watched Weimann hobble across it. Amazed that he started yesterday!
