Best: Tie for me between Guzan and Benteke.

Worst: Another tie, Dunne and Zog.

How can you pick Dunne when he's not played?

Probably for the same reasons I picked Zog who has started 3 games.

That I don't rate either based on when they have played in the last couple of years and between them they've trousered a couple of million this season while contributing not a great deal.

Westwood, Guzan, Lowton and Benteke are all more a less on a par for me.

I don't know on no hoper that's tough, but I'd say KEA was most disappointing.

Which means you'd be right if the question was 'biggets ho-hoper of the last 2 and a half seasons'.

Don't get me wrong - I'm happy enough for Dunne to be shown the door, but that's not based on the 2012-2013 season.

I still don't understand though what you would have expected Dunne to have er... done.

It's not like he's been able to play and played badly. He's been paid the money that he is owed while being injured. It's like complaining that Petrov's not contributed a great deal this season. You wouldn't really expect him to.

It didn't say in the OP that the player had to have played. So as Dunne has contributed nothing to our cause this season i'm picking him*. So ner ner.

*It has absolutely nothing to do with me not liking him. Honest.

Best - Benteke.   Special mention for Clark.
Worst- KEA or Ireland,    the latter has bags of talent and could be an absolute legend for the Villa but doesnt give a fuck,  that irkes me.

It's an irrational dislike of him for constantly being injured from picking up iced buns.

Best - tie between Benteke and Guzan.  Benteke has had some poor games but also some storming ones, and even though we've conceded a lot of goals with Guzan between the sticks, we probably would've shipped a lot more if he wasnt on such good form.

Im not going to say no-hoper for any of them (I'm an optimist and I dont think theres a player on the team who doesnt have the potential to do well for us).  However, N'Zogbia and Ireland are perhaps the most disappointing because theyre both very skilful and talented players, but they just dont put in any bloody effort!

As for KEA, its been said before: he has the talent, he was excellent at Feyernoord and in pre season.  He might have been useless for a few months now but once he's had a bit more time to adapt/bulk up he'll fit in just fine.

Best -  Benteke with mentions for Clark,Wiemann and Westwood for trying, manfully to step up.

Shittest - Ireland, for failing to manfully step up and show some fucking leadership and earn some of he vast fortunes we are paying the fucking wastrel.
