Ticket Office Staff - Thank You
« on: December 22, 2012, 12:49:00 PM »
The staff in the Villa ticket office are under considerable pressure at the moment, and probably will be for the next few weeks.

A big thank you to them all; they are always very customer focused and friendly.

After taking an hour to get through on the 'phone this morning to book 11 tickets, including Bradford away, I was dealt with by Greg and he was particularly helpful in sorting out the tickets for the home cup games, as my Cup Scheme form had not been registered.

They often get praised on here which is nice.

As an aside.

Quote
Fans are being encouraged to pick up their Tottenham, Wigan and Bradford seats online - with Villa's Ticket Office currently "rammed."

Supporters are flocking to Villa Park today in order to get hold of their Capital One Cup semi-final first leg tickets.

Tickets for the Bantams clash at Valley Parade on Tuesday January 8 are now on sale to full season card holders who have attended two Capital One Cup fixtures.

Villa's Ticket Office and Call Centre are immensely busy at present for customers who come in person to purchase and also those trying to buy on the phone.

For that reason, we're advising supporters to snap up their tickets for upcoming matches online - to help take the hassle out of seat shopping.

And remember, online booking fees have been waived this month so there's an extra reason to get on the web!

Paul Lambert's men take on Tottenham on Boxing Day and Wigan three days later, both games at Villa Park.

Tickets for these games are on general sale and available to purchase online.

Yep, just sorted out a half season ticket (not that I'm jumping on the band wagon in the hope of a cup final ticket or anything!!).  Bit complicated as I wanted specific seats and had to get refunds on tickets for spurs and wigan games that I had already bought.  They sorted it all out painlessly

I purchased a half season ticket for me and the lad yesterday over the phone. I have to say the lady on the phone was fantastic. She sorted out the Ipswich tickets, Bradford tickets and the two season tickets whilst still managing to talk football and change my address details. Thoroughly pleasant, polite and professional.

Does anyone remember the bits in the fanzine about the ticket office staff? Pizza face and Oil-slik head or something?

We've come a long way since those days.

I thought of that as well. Didn't one have a bum fluff tache and the lack of a smile was often commented on? Buying from the old ticket office was rarely a pleasant experience.

It's always a pleasure to deal with them face to face of by phone.

Bloody glory hunter. You make me sick jumping on the bandwagon. Try putting the years like I have and then you know what being a fan is all about!

The TO of old when it was housed in the back of the North Stand was like something out of Cold War Russia. They used to make it as hard as possible to purchase tickets.

More than 3 people in the queue and you were outside for an hour. And that car park was worse than Siberia at times.
