What chants would you like to hear from oppo fans?
« on: December 13, 2012, 04:19:25 PM »
Okay, so there are lots of disparaging chants that football fans chant at opposition supporters.
After watching the videos of our fantastic support at Carrow Road on Tuesday (and some of the resulting comments from Norwich fans), it got me thinking about what would be good to hear from rivals.
The one that came to my mind was: "Where were you when you were shit?"

When fans hear this, it usually means that their team has "arrrived" and is reluctantly respected as being good.

What other chants might indicate that we'd finally won a little more begrudging respect from others?

I always thought that meant "You are terrible and easy to beat. Why weren't you this bad when we needed a quick few points?"

'We're gonna get our fackin' heads kicked in'! Sung by Millwall, cowed by the size of our firm at a mid-week third-round League Cup game at the New Den.

'You only live round the corner' sung by Man Utd.

No, don't think so. It's been sung by us and others at Chelsea and Citeh fans particularly, post-££££££££££ influx.

Is it when we're winning? I'm pretty sure it's a jab pretending they're crap.

It's questioning their loyalty, implying they had less fans when they had no money.

Come on chips, get a grip son.

Balls, read it as "where were you when we were shit", instead of you.

I humbly retract my previous posts. Mister E, you are allowed one free shot at calling me a knob.

"Oh you're all a pack o'wankers over there" - a blokey way of cheering-up a collective fanbase after they've been dumped by their other halves.

Being the time for carols I would like to hear us sing "Christian's men rejoice" but I don't suppose I shall.

Some of these chants bring back great memories.

What can you chant at Arsenal fans nowadays? 'You're going home in a Cathay Pacific Airbus a380' doesn't really do it for me.

Bring back proper football.
