Just hope our midfield can pass their way past the Stoke Gorillas. Our centre backs should cope and obviously Gabby & Benteke are quite physical. Still expecting a bore draw 0-0 or 1-1

Despise Stoke. Bringing my old Grandad along to his first match in ages (been quite ill). Hopefully it's a welcome return.

I also despise Stoke. They troll and spam the referee by fouling so much he can't possibly blow for everything.
It seems refs just accept its going to be a "physical encounter" and relax the laws completely because it's Stoke and that's what they're like. I can't stand that horrible twat of a manager especially. He's a charmless old chav scumbag.
So with that in mind we should send our team out prepared to elbowing, leaning, shirt pulling, stanley knifing and so on.
It's like playing the German team in Escape to Victory.

Suffice it to say I hope we win. I really really REALLY hope we stuff those abominable bastards.
But no doubt, after Villa leading for most of the match some set piece or other will be given to them and Crouch will stand at the back stick, with his arms on his defenders shoulders stopping them from jumping. Then he'll nod it back across the goal for one of their other 9 foot donkeys to run through/over his marker and bundle it in. Probably kicking 3 people in the face in the process.
Everyone will look to the ref in disbelief, and he'll just shrug.

Haha, excellent. I'd love us to beat these too.  Awful team.

Maz that's as depressingly accurate a summation as I've come across.

Is there anything good about Stoke at all?  Horrible town(s), horrible football ground, and the bit of the M6 that runs past it always seems to have an accident on it.  Must be people falling over themselves to get away from the place.

They even practice set pieces on the training ground which consists of obstructing the opposing player .

Stoke IS the accident on the M6.
It's a terribly tragic pile up of scum and villainy.

I remember getting a coach to manchester airport and it had to pick up people from Stoke .

Made Royston Vasey look like Beverley Hills.

Too violent to be pleasant. Not violent enough to be interesting.

Where you can ask the way to the town centre and be told you're in it.

Where the railway station is in a different town.

Where every pub on matchday is 'members' only.

Where you can't park anywhere between the motorway and the ground.

That's Stoke.
