"Tonights attendance is 28, 692. On behalf of me, thank you for your support".

Anybody else notice there was not the usual announcement during the 2nd half last night?

Probably because it was the lowest league crowd at Villa Park since 16th December 2006. (27,450 against Bolton).

Obviously there were a few factors at work such as Live on Sky, lower away following, game 3 days before etc. but when every one of the previous 100 plus games has had more people then it's a worry.

I also noticed that they didnt announce it.

I guessed about 28,000, with 15 mins to go I was expecting about 20,000 judging by how many were inside the ground.

Three years of 'transition' 4 wins in a year add to the lethargy about the place.

Don't forget the weather.  My train was literally going through a river, and I was coming from the same place as the Reading fans.  I missed the first 20 minutes because of this.

Well done to those 29K who went instead of watching it on sky.

There was a pathetic turnout in Walkabout on Victoria Embankment last night.

5 of us, jumping up and down, swearing at a giant screen in front of half a dozen bemused aussies, most of whom were watching Lazio v Udinese on the other screen.

It was even worse where I watched it. Just me and my lucky Admiral's Pie, which is 3 wins out of 3 this season for the pie.

The Holte seemed as full and noisy as it has been all season, which I was chuffed to be in. The Corners of the two side stands and top of the North were as barren, however. I think considering the numerous factors:

- Midweek game
- Shite, unattractive opposition
- Poor weather
- Home game three days prior
- Live on Sky
- At least 1,000 less away fans than usual

It probably wasn't that bad an attendance.

I've just ordered a van load to be delivered to your house by Tesco.  Consumable on match days only.  Enjoy.

Haha, thanks Pauline. I have made sure i've got one for HT Saturday. If it works again home games are going to be a problem as all things permitting I should be back at most home games now. I wonder if VMF will warm me one up at HT?

Just me and the cat where I watched it, who kept walking in front of the TV just to wind me up. However, I gave my season ticket to my nephew so it was used.

Is it a lucky cat though? That's the thing we need to know.

Well done to those that made it down, you could still hear the Holte End loud and proud on the TV! 3 points won't do any harm to the next home games' attendance either.

I knew you'd try and take credit for that, when it was really my half-time mince pie that won it.
