I love everything about Benteke. His touch is superb, he operates really well in tight spaces and he's strong as an ox. He'll only get better with better service.

Not that he's my favourite player but I'd like to throw some love in the direction of Enda Stevens. Very solid, if unspectacular and he's had to face some really good players in the past few weeks and hasn't been given the Nathan Dyer vs Stephen Warnock treatment in any game.

Gabby. I bloody love Gabby. He may not be our best player but he's provided some fantastic moments over the years. Plus he genuinely seems to love the place even if stories about him being a lifelong fan are exaggerated.

As someone said previously there are about 7/8 candidates...

Brad, Vlaar, Lowton, Clark, Westwood, Wiemann, Benteke, Holman and not forgetting Gabby.

Says a lot when two of our big money signings don't even get a mention!

I'd like to see them get a few wins under their belt; then we really can shout about them with pride.
Bannan, Westwood, Clark, Weimann and Benteke all look good. Lowton has had his moments, and I am also a big fan of Herd. Lichaj is underrated and seems to be hard as nails as well.

Ciaran Clark, I just think he has a lot of class for somebody so young and that he is a fast learner.

Vlaar and Benteke will be heroes if we can progress

Benteke has become the player who has probably been most talked about when AVFC is mentioned. But Lowton-Concrete-KEA have had a big impact in the team. Think Weimann will become a massive player for Villa in the near future ...........

For the first time in ages, there isn't a player in the first team who I can't stand.

That's a good point and might explain why the crowd are so behind all of them.

I like Ireland  8), with the other names being mentioned.

He links up the play well in forward positions, his workrate is good, seems to calm the play and gets it flow better than without him.

Good call (the first sentence.)

Although I do find myself questioning why when we apparently have all these players we all think are great we are currently 18th in the table.

It's a good question.

In many respects the praise for the likes of Benteke and Westwood are largely based on pontential as much as present contribution.  As a young side we're learning as we go and the recent performances are generally better then early season ones.

I dont see what big impact kea has had on our team- I think he's been the only new signing who has looked below par.
