He was crap. Not bothered about his attitude but he was crap. So were Shorey, Sidwell, Davies, Harewood, Heskey, and Cuellar. All gone and with it our money and optimism. A lot of re-building to do because of O'Neill. Lets not forget who got usinto this and not focus our anger on average players given great wages.

With the exception of Cuellar I agree with that.

i watched a bit of the season review on MONs first season. He said it was about getting to know the players he had at first and not bring in anyone willy nilly that wouldnt improve the squad .
I refer you to the players listed above and wonder what changed his attitude

He was better than Hutton.
His attitude wasn't.
I can't really see what more was expected of him. He was given a stupid contract, did perfectly well when played (one out of position aberration against Rapid Vienna aside) only to be dropped for the next dozen or so matches.

It was obviously a ridiculous signing, but I can't see what Beye himself is guilty of in what went wrong.

The fact he said he'd never play for us again and would take the 40k a week off us

Maybe for us he said he'd never play for us again because he knew he'd never play for us again?

Another victim of MON's peerless man management?

When did he say that? All I remember him supposedly saying was when he was at Doncaster he didn't want to come back. Which considering how long he had been here and how little he had been picked to play isn't surprising.

I'd go along with this, including Cuellar, and I'd even throw in NRC.

Didn't Houllier play him at home to Chelsea, 0-0, this time two years ago? Seem to remember he had a good game, then played a couple of times more and I think that was it. Can't remember if there was a bust-up with GHou or not.

Either way, it would have been best all-round if we hadn't gazumped Hull for his signature when he left Newcastle.

He always looked to me as if he'd make a better centre half than a right back. I've seen a lot worse players down there.

Aye.  We gazumped Wigan for Harewood as well didn't we?  Offered him twice the wages or something.

Shortly before, I'm pretty certain I seen it through here

i dont agree with all this crap stuff,
he always did OK  on the rare occasion he turned out, he was just to old and on a too long contract, i cant rememebr him having a really bad game for villla, i know he didnt play many, but i can remember Hutton and Warnock having massive stinkers.

as for his bad attitude its the first i've heard of it,
the problem i would have with him is that he probably could have moved elsewhere for less money but money was more important than playing the game, but thats his decision in the end

So it's not really a fact then is it if the only evidence he said it is you think you read it on here.
