Less 'you used to be a big club' and more 'where were you when you were shit'.

League: Respectably in 11th place. Many comparisons to MON's first season are made.
FA Cup: Semi-finalists, knocked out by the eventual winners.
League Cup: Knocked out in the 4th round at Old Trafford.

Personally, I'd be very happy with all of that. I think people predicting that we're going to finish in the top 7 are being a tad optimistic, but there's nothing wrong with that!

League: 10th
Cups: depends on the draw!

What I want more than anything though is a palpable sense that the club is once again going in the right direction and that winning matches is the objective when we take the field!

Too early to say, tho I've not seen any of the players we're linked with / have bought anyway!

I'll say 8-12th, probably about 10. Quarter finals of one of the cups. If we do that while playing god football, scoring goals, taking the game to teams and two or three of the kids finally establish themselves as top half epl quality I'll be happy.

I hope people's expectations aren't so high that they start to have a moan if we have a wobbly spell or new signings take a while to settle in.

We're still not spending big bucks it seems and have lost a huge amount of quality / experience. I'm intrigued by our purchasing strategy but it'd be stunning if they all come off.
