Even if the 38 games they bought were the 38 Villa games, and it was free, and the equipment to watch it was free, and installed free at a convenient time to suit me, and they sent round that girl off the ads to watch it with me, and she's naked and up for it - I still wouldn't have BT.

Where's the source for this David? Can only find a news item from lunchtime saying the bidding had gone to a second round. Whatever, by my reckoning that's an additional £1bn to go into players and their agents pockets.

Terrific news.

Best cancel ESPN sharpish. They've lost both the football and UFC.

And I just can't see how BT can lever 38 games into a significant number of new customers. Sky have first pick so expect to see the top clubs every week that Sky don't show them, regardless of the competitiveness of the game.

Who got UFC?

Not been decided yet. Deal with ESPN expires in August so they'll announce it then I imagine.
