McCleish did good ????

If it works out with Holman we'll have to give him some of the credit.

I'd imagine that Holman would have been similar to his N'Zogbia signing - good player, but then puts the shackles on him!

Most of the credit surely as he signed him?

Needs to go along way before it cancels out Hutton in the debit column.

Surely at least some credit will have to go to Artur Numan who almost certainly pointed this one out to TSM.

If he's worth a brass razoo he'll be better than that boxhead Hutton

Will Arthur find another player for us :) for Paul Lambert. If Paul want to bring in his own scouts, use both.

Ok, well pretty much everytime i've seen him i've been fairly unimpressed i've got to say.

I really hope he does well for us though.  Great for him to win this but Australia really are a team on the decline though at the moment with very little coming through.

I just hope he can get things sorted with that lonely girl he's always banging on about as I've a feeling he can make her broken heart like new.

Australia international Brett Holman cannot wait to play for Aston Villa next season and is determined to make an immediate impact.

The 28-year-old, who was recently voted Australia's Player of the Year, will officially join the Villans on a free transfer from AZ Alkmaar when the transfer window reopens next month.

He had agreed to join Villa in March when Alex McLeish was still manager, but he will be playing under Paul Lambert when he arrives in the Midlands.

Holman says it is a 'dream come true' to have the chance to play in the Premier League and he is determined to prove his worth to the club.

"I am so happy to be here. It's a dream come true to be a Premier League player. To have that opportunity at a club with the history and tradition of Villa is fantastic," Holman told the club's official website.

"There are big names here. I was more than aware of the quality players at Villa, even though I've obviously come from the Eredivisie in Holland.

"Just look at Darren Bent, who's a top-quality goalscorer and a proven England international. I want to meet up and play with the lads. It's certainly exciting times.

"I can't wait to get involved, meet the lads and get stuck into life at Villa. I think I can contribute a lot to the team. I want to show what I'm worth."
