Wonder if this guy will replace Ireland, or is he more of a wide man?
Classic No 10 according to O/S!
Katie Wilkinson can't wait to watch Brett Holman in action next season as she looks to perfect the classic No.10 role for Villa Ladies.
Wilkinson, like Holman, is at her best when she's linking play between the midfielders and strikers.
The 17-year-old is quite a sight to behold with the ball at her feet as she plays killer pass after killer pass as well as firing in superb shots on sight.
And she's a strong believer that analysing the performances of other playmakers can help her own progress.
She said: "I love playing in that classic No.10 role. That's where I think I'm at my best. I play my best football from there.
"I like getting on the ball and making things happen. That's my strength. I like to link the midfield and the forwards and do damage from there.
"Our manager Joe Hunt knows what I am good at because he's been my coach for five or six years so I think he will get the best out of me. I am really looking to playing for him.
"Watching players in my position is something I like to do. Brett is joining Villa and he's a player who excels in the role I do so I will be keeping my eyes on how he gets on.
"I am a massive Villa fan so obviously I hope he really shines in there. I will definitely be following his exploits in claret and blue.
"There's a lot of talk about Wayne Rooney too at the moment because he's ready to play a big part for England when he's eligible from the Ukraine game onwards in the Euros. He's a fantastic player and really makes that role in the hole look easy. I like to watch him in action too because he's superb in that position."
Wilkinson's response when asked about Villa Ladies hopes for the coming campaign is a stern and simple one: "We want to win the league."
That pretty much sums up his proactive attitude to life on the football field.
She continued: "I am really looking forward to next season. I can't wait. There's plenty of optimism ahead after how we got on last time.
"We finished third in the league following promotion the previous season so that was a good achievement.
"There are certainly not many people who would have predicted that. But we have good team spirit and a real positive approach. We didn't get promoted to then shut up shop in every game and defend for our lives. You have to believe in yourselves and go out to win every game.
"Next season, we're looking to win the title, no doubt."
On a personal note, Wilkinson is giving herself the best possible chance of succeeding in the next campaign - by laying off the weights!
She added: "I am looking to get leaner and meaner for the new season. I want to give myself the best possible chance to get in the team and have a good season.
"I was on crutches for quite a while from Christmas 2011 because I injured my ligaments in the knee so it was tough to do anything other than a bit of weights in the gym.
"Now I want to tone down and get ready for the coming season."
