Steve Bruce has made his first signing at Sheff Weds. It's a right back. Who'd have thought it?

Go figure. Why couldnít he have just taken Hutton or Elmo?

I hate to admit it but i think Sandwell Town have done far better business in the window They have signed Montero from Swansea,Johanson from Fulham and Murphy from Newcastle and we have Carroll

I am surprised Swansea have let Wilfred Bony go out on loan to Qatar. He is their main goal threat.

Not sure that's so much better than us.

They've signed three more loan players taking them up to 6 so one can't play anyway.

Murphy - who is replacing their best player Barnes so at best makes no net difference - hasn't played all season. Johansson has played 12 games, only making more than 45 minutes 3 times. Montero has been a sub for Swansea, coming on for the last ten minutes. If Hause isn't match-fit, not sure how Murphy or Johansson will be either.

And they were in for both Mings and Hause and didn't get them.

I'm guessing people have an in-depth knowledge of Newcastle reserves to know Murphy is a great signing.

Interesting interview with the Sporting Director from Norwich, Stuart Webber. Didn't really know which thread to put this in so here is as good a place as any. A lot of relevance to our situation over the last few years.

From the footballers point of view- fair play, somebodys going to pay you that then get what you can.

From the fans point of view- fucking ridiculous contract, is he even going to be a starter infront of Matuidi, Pjanic, Khedira, Can and Bentancur? They don't need him other than a squad option, they must be paying Ronaldo close to a million a week if this is anything to go by.

Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman has announced that the club will be "honourable" with Nantes regarding paying the Emiliano Sala transfer fee. He then goes on about "processes being in place" regarding the fee, Cardiff not agreeing with said process, "extraordinary events having taken place", "information that needs to be gathered", "establishing a full picture of events", "lots of questions that need answering" and "not making any positive or negative statements at this moment in time". Call me a cynic but that sounds to me like the answer of a politician who is trying to wriggle out of something rather than someone looking to honour a deal.
