Haven't seen much of the English national team recently, but with three players worth 50 million a piece, they must be in great shape.

Can see Pep's thinking too.

Defence was an obvious weakspot for Citeh next year, so add a 50 million defensively suspect fullback to a defence containing John Stones.

I think Pep's thinking went something like "Shit, bollocks, fuck" when Dani Alves went to PSG instead.

The money's crazy but Walker is still a very good full-back. i couldn't understand why he was dropped by Tottenham last season although 1 FA Cup tie aside I think I watched roughly about 5 minutes of them last season. I suppose they think Tripper is a better option.

I have rated Walker since his spell at Villa. I can't say Stones has ever totally convinced me.

My brother was saying most of last season that Trippier was playing better than Walker. Spurzz will be pissing themselves laughing, getting 50mill for Walker.

How can Small Heath afford to pay Ashley Cole, old hamster bollox and Robbie Keane but not agree terms with a Dutch player who was on loan at Norwich last season?

Former England, Leeds, Spurs, Blackburn and latterly Burnley keeper Paul Robinson has retired. He has done well for carrying as long as he did after having his leg amputated. I blame that for the Gary Neville back pass he let in that time against Croatia.

I liked him. Willing to have a laugh at his own expense. He won me over that day.

Boro have completed a club-record deal (approx 15m) to sign Britt Assombalonga from Nottingham Forest.

He is 24 and has 30 goals in 65 games for Forest. Not sure his is Premier League class or not though. I am guessing they are doing the same as us and building for promotion and will build more if and when they go up.

It's a very good signing if he can stay fit.  Big if.

Its the issue with how long he takes to get fit as well when he comes back. He's a husky chap.

Good signing for Boro that. I'd much rather have spent the McCormack money on him.

I wads thinking exactly that, didn't they only pay a couple of million as well and an odd free kick and mid table later 20m + profit later.
