That's just got me some very odd looks laughing out loud on the train.

They’re over the moon on Tyneside.

Shall we politely describe their reaction to Bruce and Carroll rocking up as 'mixed'?  ;)

Watching Reading v Cardiff I had forgotten that Reading had spent a few quid and brought in ten new players this summer.

I've put this in here as it isn't worth a thread of its own.  50 worst Premier League signings.  Have a look at how much money both Liverpool and Manure pissed away although there is one Liverpool signing who was nowhere near being shit.  Unfortunately, we have two on the list that is hard to argue with.

I saw Bosko, but I didn't see a specific other Villa player but maybe I was clicking too fast. Unless the other you mentioned was the Djemba Twins, that was attributed to Manure not us.

It was the twins I was referring to.  I know he was initially a Manure signing but we were stupid enough to do the same.  We also signed Benteke who most definitely was not shit, so for both those reasons he shouldn't be in there, would you agree?

He was a poor signing for Liverpool, he looked nowhere near a £35 million player for them. That's what the list is for, not identifying the worst players in the Premier League. Though, obviously, there will be considerable overlap between the two lists. Nobody would say that Benteke or, for that matter, Torres or Owen were "shit", but they were all poor signings for the clubs cited in the article.

Quite a few Houllier signings in there for Liverpool, which backs up what I've often said when it's been suggested that he'd have been a good DoF for us.

Ryan Woods gone from Stoke to Milwall on loan.
2 years ago I thought he’d be perfect for us; how times change.

Corrected. Always interesting how players seemingly don’t develop. He looked a real player when Brentford used to regularly play us off the park at home.

He really looked the business in that one game for Brentford against us.  Much like Lansbury did in that one game V Forest. We should learn from it...One decent game does not make a Villa signing.

Reports of Barcelona offering Everton £85 million for Richarlison to me even stranger is Everton turned it down. How much is Grealish worth in comparison?
