Just read that Alan Pardew has a year left to run on his 8 year deal at Newcastle.  He may as well finish the job he started.

Has Benitez had his head turned by the situation at St Andrews?

He could probably afford to buy the club.

Never had him down as a golfer.

Avram Grant is now being mooted for the new management set-up - presumably him as Director of Football with Monk as manager. Our banner suggestion of Ant and Dec looks more sensible with each passing year.

If our last home game was vrs them I'd certainly have a little wager on them going down 😂

That's good - they'll be in the mix for relegation now along with Sheffield and Brighton. I would expect us to get more points than those 3.

I think you can throw Norwich, Burnley and Palace into that list too.

And Man U. Fuck 'em.

The Frank Lampard to Chelscum has started again with the news that they are officially talking to him. I have loved  every minute of any news about  this item since the play off final because report on Sky always ends in John McGinn's goal :)

Man City, Liverpool and Spurs aside the PL looks much less intimidating than the one we left behind. Naturally we have a lot of catching up to do, but even so, I trust Dean Smith over any of the numpties we had as manager from 2010. And with OGS managing Man U, Lampard soon to be at Chelsea and a mix of ok/good, but nothing special managers at the other clubs, I think we will have a fighting chance most weeks. We went into games last time out almost expecting to lose because we had been defeated in the mental side of the game. It feels a lot different now even though we have a ton of work to do this summer.

Mourinho is as short as 4/1 with some bookies for the Newcastle job. I can't see that one happening. The deluded Newcastle fans must be putting their money on him. Other names apparently in the frame are Moyes, Arteta, Grant, Ranieri and Dyche. I reckon Dyche might fancy the challenge. The appointment of Moyes on the other hand would surely go down like a lead balloon.

Mourinho will happily take it if they get bought out and he has nine trillion pound to spend, otherwise he won't bother. The Waitrose O'Neill won't take any job that might be difficult.
