I see Newcastle are live on SKY again this weekend. Against Manure. Great forward planning by SKY as a defeat for either side will be built up into a drama story.

Neil Harris has left Millwall. Gary Rowett is apparently the favourite to replace him.

Who will be next to go in the top flight? Poch? Ole? Nuno? Silva? Bruce?

Watching SKY's Sunday Supplement and apparently the North East correspondent has had a few run ins with Steve Bruce already. Apparently Bruce is complaining that at the moment he doesn't have the players to play the kind of attacking football he wants to play.  ???

Quality comment by Simon Jordan on Talksport earlier about Sam Allardyce's relegation fears for Man U.

"Fireman Sam after a job opportunity."

Sunderland have sacked Jack Ross.

Who?

They are sixth in the table and only four points off second place. Last season they finished fifth and qualified for the play offs and got to the Checkatrade trophy final, losing on penalties. All of that after years of struggling and decline. Seems a bit harsh to me. It takes time to turn a club round that has had several years of struggle, as we well know.

The who was directed at Jack Ross as I'd never heard of him.

He played 159 games for Clyde you cheeky bounder.

Did very well turning St Mirren from seeming to be relegation certainties to promoted to the division above within eighteen months or so. Lost the playoff final with Sunderland and has been sacked as they're currently sixth.

Seems a little harsh, but their supporters seem pleased he's gone so I won't criticise the decision... I remember quite a few media idiots saying we were hasty in getting rid of Bruce.

Blimey. Following the sacking of head coach Jose Gomes, Reading's Sporting Director Mark Bowen has agreed a deal with, er,  Reading's Sporting Director Mark Bowen to become the new head coach. Yep, he's appointed himself. Reading fans not happy. (Though last week they were linked with Mark Hughes, which they were also understandably unhappy about).

Simon Jordan, who always speaks highly of The Villa on Talksport and seemed to know what was going on when we were being taken over, to the point I suspected he might be involved at one point was talking about Gary Rowett's 'loyalty' this morning. I like Simon Jordan as he tells it like it is. His autobiography was good.

He was also talking about how you had to pay compensation to sacked managers but it is a different story when you are trying to get compensation for managers who have walked out to go to another club.
