Cocu plus 4 million in compensation is a fantastic bit of business. Lampard didn't particularly impress me as a manager last season, so can see his stint at Rangers of the South being a short and unsuccessful one, hopefully.

I thought Lampard did quite well. He worked the loan market and got to the play offs. They also had some good cup performances. He also seemed to have to players behind him. Obviously Chelsea with their expectations and big time charlies is a different kettle of fish.

Not disagreeing he did well, but I did think it was daft how much cooing there was over him, considering they finished 6th the previous year too.

John Terry is in contention too for Newcastle, apparently.

Is this rumour bollocks-mon (one for the teenagers)?

Bruce to Newcastle would be the cherry on the icing.

Death by Potato. Things could start getting very amusing up there.

I don’t recall the “near riots around Villa Park” when it was announced Bruce was going to be our manager that Rob Dorsett has just reported on Sky.

How have Newcastle gone from being taken over by the PSG group to whoreing themselves to Bruce in under 2 weeks? 😂😂

Only Bruce could leave us in the state he did and still manage to be back in the Premier League at the same time as a rejuvenated Villa.

What's a near riot? Is it people passing nearby on the 11 going, "ooh, I'm not happy about this"?
